Two words will fix everything…

Politicians get more caught up in fighting each other than making the best decisions for the country.  They get so caught up in tearing each other down that they forget this country is called the UNITED States of America.  As the representatives of our country, they show more division than anything else.  Where is the unity? Where is the love? Where is the compassion for each other?

As a country, we have a lot of work to do.  The first step is only two words…

STOP IT.

Check out this hilarious video as Bob Newhart drops some very simple, yet profound knowledge on a character who has her mind so wrapped around her issues that she not only feels justified in having them, but she continues to try to give back stories as to why she allows herself to carry on in such nonsense.  Sound familiar?

Wouldn’t it be great if the politicians woke up every morning, looked in the mirror, and heard Bob Newhart’s voice yelling, “STOP IT!” in their ear before they headed out to work? LOL

The truth of the matter is, unless the issues that the politicians feel compelled to constantly fight over are beneficial for ALL involved (i.e. igniting UNITY), they are just as nonsensical as the lady’s issues in the therapist’s office. JUST STOP IT!

Practice Peace.

Practice Love.

Practice Unity.

Practice Compassion for others.  Compassion is understanding rather than judging.

We are all one.  Let’s start acting like it.

As the people of our country, while the leaders are fighting things out, we must pray for the initial intention of our nation.  UNITED.

What would this country be like if everyone thought of everyone else before themselves?  What if the people in power had hearts and minds of service instead of greed?  What if we could all just get along in peace and love?  Would we finally live up to our name?

Anything is possible.  Keep your consciousness on what is possible.  Keep your mind on what you’d like to see your country be.  And keep your belief in the good of all people.  It’s there, it just has to be uncovered from all of the layers of selfishness and greed that smother it.

“Be the change you want to see in the world.” – Gandhi

As you pray for our country, practice more loving, peaceful and uniting actions, thoughts, and feelings in your own life.  What if we could change the face of this nation by showing the leaders how to act.  It only takes one person.

Martin Luther King did it.  Why can’t you?
