On the death of the world’s most wanted terrorist, Osama Bin Laden: “His demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity.” – President Barack Obama

I got emotional this morning as I saw the footage of firefighters joining the celebration in NYC last night.  It just triggered within me the thought of such sacrifice that was made 10 years ago of people willing to save lives and fight for their country.

Death is a very powerful circumstance.  It ignites substantial energy in people.  Ten years ago, the death of innocent Americans on 9/11 ignited unity in the midst of sorrow.  Last night, the death of evil ignited a sense of hope, peace, and long awaited justice.  Those feelings and principles shared worldwide are definitely worth a celebration.  It was so inspiring to see so many people gathered together in celebration last night.  It was proof that hope was restored and victory prevailed.

We must now hold on to these specific feelings and go forth in the name of these powerful principles.  It is imperative for us to pray for America’s protection,  Pakistan’s protection,  the protection and freedom of the generation of young people that were being raised in hatred under Bin Laden’s control, and every other human being on this earth so that we all can know the benefits of “peace and human dignity.”  And thank GOD for the brave souls who continue to fight for our country’s protection and justice!

I think today’s song is right on point.  Will.i.am created this song after President Obama was elected but every bit of it rings true today.  Enjoy!

And just in case you missed it, here is the President’s speech declaring America’s victory. We have once again made history!

Share your thoughts in the comments: What did you think of Bin Laden’s death?  How do you feel about more peace and less terrorism in the world?

Peace, Love, & Victory!
