This past weekend (June 25th to be exact) was the 2 year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to play one of my all-time favorite songs of his.
I have distinct childhood memories of listening to “Man in the Mirror” while riding on the bus to Pennsylvania to visit my godmother. I fell in love with this song during that ride. I didn’t even know what it meant then, all I knew was that I loved it and I LOVED me some Michael Jackson. I used to put those huge headphones on (that were bigger than my own head at the time) to listen to Michael before I went to my elementary school in the mornings.
I don’t know one person that didn’t love Michael Jackson’s music. He is most definitely music royalty, and I am grateful to have experienced his musical genius during my lifetime.
As I’ve gotten older I’ve grown to love “Man in the Mirror” even more. The lyrics inspire me to be a better person everyday….

I’m asking him to change his ways

If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change.”
