This one is for me today yall.  Normally I post songs that inspire me, yes, but I share them with the intention of inspiring you.  Today, I am sharing this with the intention of inspiring myself, and I hope you get inspired in the process.

I take the messages I share here very seriously.  I not only share them here, but I practice them in my personal life and share them with my family and friends.  I am passionate about studying human behavior and human relations and implementing principles that make life easier and more fulfilling for everyone.

Sometimes focusing on “everyone” takes too much of the focus off of myself.  I think that’s what’s been happening to me lately.  I’ve been noticing things in others and seeing exactly what’s best for them and praying for their well being, healing and success.

In that, I guess I’ve somehow neglected my own well being.  I thought I was praying for myself too, but I guess it wasn’t enough.  My attention has been too focused on helping others and I’ve noticed my normal blissful feelings have been missing.  There’s been a lack of connection with Spirit, to the point where I’ve noticed I’ve been much more in my head lately instead of enjoying that wonderfully constant feeling that fills me up from the inside out.

So it’s time to get back to my familiar place of inner peace, contentment and love.  “A Course in Miracles” teaches that we think we have many problems, but we really only have one: the belief in separation from Spirit.  And there is only one solution: remembering our oneness with Spirit.

With that, I am taking it to church today and calling in the Holy Spirit.  I am making it my business to stay out of my head, stay out of other people’s business, and stay connected to my own personal source of happiness and wisdom that is already within me just waiting for me to tap into it.

Today I searched for a song that spoke to me beyond my mind.  It even had to do more than make my body move.  Today, I picked a song that awakened my Spirit and filled me with that warm and fuzzy feeling inside to start my day off right.  Be inspired with me today by these powerful lyrics and Smokie Norful’s beautiful voice:

Add this song to your playlist for those moments that you need a reminder to call in the Holy Spirit on the spot:

Today is precisely why I love doing the Song of the Week.  Sometimes nothing else will speak to your stronger than a the right song.

Share your thoughts in the comments: What are your favorite songs that fill you up from the inside out and remind you of your ultimate source?

Peace, Love, & Music,

~Alexis~
