Song of the Week: “Blessed” by Jill Scott

Song of the Week: “Blessed” by Jill Scott

No matter what’s going on in your life, whether it’s good, bad, or indifferent, there is always something to be grateful for.  I share this message a lot here on my blog and on my email list.  I share it, not only because I believe it’s the way to live, but because I also need the reminder to keep my mind and my energy in a state of gratefulness to ensure the constant blessings and good feelings I want to experience.

It can be so easy to complain or create a huge list of wants.  But to truly live a life of gratefulness, appreciating all the things that make your life worth living, that is what will bring you true joy, no matter what is going on around you.

So the next time you start to feel down put this song on, and as you hear Jill Scott list all the reasons why she’s blessed, make a list of your own.

As a bonus, check out Jill Scott talking about how she created this song and what she hopes people get from it.

Put this song on your playlist as a reminder of why you’re so blessed:

  1. Truly, being grateful for what we have helps remove negativity from our lives and creates room for more blessings. Sometimes it seems like there isn’t much God has done for us, but when we start counting, the list gets endless. Love the song. Thanks once again.
